Prior to Civilians’ Return, Syrian Gov’t Forces Gear Up to Detain “Wanted Residents” in AlSbeina

Palestinian activists slammed the Syrian government troops and their abettors for setting up rooms at the main entrance to AlSbeina Camp for Palestinian refugees, in Rif Dimashq, to arrest wanted residents as soon as they return to their homes via a newly-pitched checkpoint.

The reconciliation committee in AlSbeina said the rooms have been set up to administer civilians’ access to the area.

AlSbeina residents have been forced out of their homes following the deadly hostilities between the Syrian government forces and the opposition outfits. The latter had taken control of the town since the end of 2012 before it was taken over by the regime troops on November 17, 2013.
