Sick Palestinian Refugees Get their Limbs Amputated Due to Medicine Shortage

The situation of the Palestinian refugees in Syria has sharply gone downhill due to the acute dearth in life-saving medicines and the swift surge in the prices of much-needed drugs, among other items.

Following a field visit to local clinics, AGPS reporters noticed an acute shortage in sterilizers, anti-inflammatory drugs, diabetes medicines, cardiovascular drugs, and children’s milk.

Several patients got their legs or hands amputated after most clinics have run out of the needed medicines and medical kit.

Dozens of Palestinians south of Syria also succumbed to wounds sustained under shelling after they failed to receive first aid therapy and medicines. The tough cordons imposed on Syria’s thoroughfares have made the situation far more tragic.

Dozens of hospitals and field clinics have gone out of operation in the rampant warfare. Several medics have also been pronounced dead in the raging hostilities while others were tortured to death in Syrian government jails.
