3 Palestinian Brothers Held in Syrian Jails

Three Palestinian brothers have been held in Syrian government lock-ups for the fifth year running. Two brothers turned themselves in following pledges by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP)–General Command (GC) to work out their case.

The three detainees are identified as: 42-year-old Samir AlBarnawi, detained since September 20, 2012. He was handed over to the Syrian government forces by PFLP-GC and works as the commander of an opposition brigade in AlTadhamun area, near Yarmouk Camp; 41-year-old Fadi AlBarnawi, also held in Syrian jails since September 20, 2012, after he was turned in to the government forces by PFLP-GC; The third detainee is Shadi AlBarnawi, kidnapped from Yarmouk Camp in October 2012.
