An abduction sweep has been launched by ISIS militias against activists trapped in the besieged Yarmouk Camp for Palestinian refugees, south of Damascus.
A number of captives were released and put to house arrest.
Meanwhile activists south of Syria said that armed outfits rebuffed the terms of the recently-struck Yarmouk-Yalda deal because the party that signed the deal—so-called Abu Saleh Fetyan and Ismail Khalayli—do not represent Yarmouk’s civilian community. Other armed group said they have been excluded from consultations over the deal.
Activists and relief offices in Yarmouk have been permanently targeted by ISIS ever since it grabbed hold of the camp in early April 2015.
