Over 189 Palestinians in Yarmouk Camp in Need of Urgent Medical Referrals

Over 189 Palestinian refugees stranded in the besieged Yarmouk Camp are in urgent need of medical referrals so as to receive life-saving therapy over lethal diseases infecting their bodies.

The list of patients included 31 cancer-stricken Palestinians and 78 people with cardio-vascular disorders, along with 20 people with fractures. 18 more refugees suffer kidney and liver diseases while 14 are diagnosed with epilepsy eight others with asthma. 11 more refugees suffer paralysis in their limbs.

AGPS appeals to all concerned bodies to work on securing urgent medical treatment to Yarmouk’s trapped patients and to allow them free access into nearby towns to receive much-needed medical checks.

AGPS also calls on UNRWA to take up its responsibilities as regards the sick Palestinian refugees in war-torn Syria.

A tough cordon has been slapped on Yarmouk Camp by the Syrian regime army and their affiliated groups since 1,485 consecutive days. ISIS militias have also grabbed hold of large parts of the camp since early April 2015.
