Palestinian refugees and activists urged UNRWA to enter aids to areas controlled by the opposition outfits in war-torn Syria.
In letters sent to AGPS, Palestinian refugees expressed their disappointment over the apathy maintained by UNRWA as regards refugees’ appeals for in-kind and cash aids, urging the agency to deliver financial aids contributed by donor countries to opposition-run zones, particularly Idlib, north of Syria.
The refugees added that most of those taking shelter in opposition-led areas cannot reach distribution centers due to the abduction sweeps launched by the Syrian government forces on security grounds.
UNRWA stipulates that in order for Palestinian refugees to receive aids all family members aged 18 or above must show up at distribution centers.
Palestinian refugees deported from Damascus and its suburbs have frequently called on UNRWA to hand them over much-need relief items and provide their children with education services.
