The American University in Beirut (AUB), in partnership with University Students' Forum in Lebanon, announced the launch of six-month internships for the Palestinian and Syrian migrants in Lebanon.
The program includes courses in nursery education, primary education, intermediate education, secondary education, and learning disabilities. Courses on office management and project management will also be offered by AUB. Each course lasts for a duration of up to 120 hours.
AUB called on those who wish to apply for an internship to fill in the applications posted on its official website before September 20, 2017.
In recent reports, AGPS warned that most of Syria’s schools have been destroyed or put out of operation in the raging warfare, imperiling the education of the Syrians and Palestinians alike.
The Syrian warfare has contributed to a sharp nosepe in the rates of access to education, estimated at 75% in 2015, down from 95% prior to the conflict.
