Palestinian patient pleads to be moved from southern Damascus for treatment

Palestinian refugee patient "Muhammed Saloma AlHayek" appealed to the Palestine Liberation Organization and the political committee in southern Damascus, to move him from the besieged area in the south, to be treated in the capital Damascus’ hospitals.

An activist in south Damascus said that "AlHayek" screams and cries on a daily basis from the severity of the pain he suffers. Medical staff have diagnosed the 60-year-old’s condition, as Ischemia (an inadequate blood supply to an organ or part of the body, especially the heart), and requires treatment in the hospitals of the capital Damascus.

Activists have accused the Syrian regime of practicing a racist policy against Palestinian refugees, since it allows others to go out for treatment in the capital, as well as exiting and entering the towns of south Damascus.
