Palestinians south of Damascus… continuous suffering and relying entirely on charity kitchens and food aid

The Palestinians displaced to south Damascus complain of the difficulties they face to secure their families food needs. Despite the availability of plenty of food, vegetables and fruits in the markets, the vast majority of the families are unable to buy even in small portions, due to their poor financial conditions and the rise of prices at record rates that have reached 1000% over the past 6 years.

Many of the poor Palestinian families are dependent on charity kitchens and the food aids distributed by UNRWA and relief societies. The quantity however does not meet their needs due to the widespread unemployment among them and lack of financial resources due to unsteady incomes. Most refugees lost their jobs because of the ongoing war in Syria.
