The group's correspondent reported that armed opposition groups in south Damascus threatened ISIS in Yarmouk camp and Al-Hajar Al-Aswad if it attempts to break in to the neighboring area of Al-Qadam.
Our correspondent quoted a field commander south of Damascus saying that the factions’ fighters were summoned after receiving information on ISIS’s intention to storm in to Al-Qadam neighborhood, adding that all military factions agreed to attack ISIS’s positions from behind, in its points in Al-Hajar Al-Aswad and Yarmouk camp, if it were to break in to Al-Qadam.
ISIS had previously threatened Al-Qadam’s residents to raid the region. Its members are under alert on the front of Al-Qadam in the areas under its control in Al-Hajar Al-Aswad and Al-Asali neighborhood.
ISIS had prevented residents of south Damascus from reaching Al-Qadam and agreed with the Syrian regime to allow opposition fighters and residents to leave to Idlib and Jarabulus in north Syria. ISIS also placed a barrier in Al-Maazaneyah neighborhood in Al-Qadam, after a number of its members attempted to escape with the neighborhood’s fighters and the entrance of residents from south Damascus coming to accompany those leaving to the north, increased.
