UNRWA has revealed in this month’s report that 254 Palestinian refugees in Syria are internally displaced, due to the horrific conflict in Syria, while 418 thousand people are fully dependent on the emergency aid provided by UNRWA.
According to UNRWA, more than 60% of the 418 thousand people have been displaced at least once, noting that continuous displacement along with fatigue, despair and frustration are causing heavy losses to the Palestinian refugees in Syria.
More than 12500 Palestinian refugees and Syrians have been housed in 37 temporary community shelters UNRWA manages and supports throughout Syria.
Apparently, more than (120) thousand Palestinian refugees in Syria have fled abroad, including more than 31,000 Palestinian refugees who have been displaced from Syria to Lebanon and 17,000 others went to Jordan, according to UNRWA’s statistics.
