Yarmouk camp bombarded during clashes between ISIS and opposition forces

In south Damascus, the Syrian regime forces bombarded the besieged Yarmouk camp, where a number of shells fell in Al-Karaeen sector in Palestine road and Al-Tadamon neighborhood adjacent to the camp, causing destruction to the families’ homes. This came amid the targeting of the two areas with medium machine guns, by members of the Syrian regime forces in Nisreen Road.

In the meantime, violent clashes broke out for some time between ISIS and armed opposition groups, on the barrier separating Yarmouk camp and Yelda town. Several buildings and shops were burnt down.

Our reporter added that the clashes took place after a barbed-iron bar was placed that block the progress of any vehicle that tries to break into the barrier towards Yelda. ISIS closed the barrier from Yarmouk refugee camp towards Yelda and the civilians remained trapped between the two areas until it was reopened thereafter.
