Palestinian- Syrian families in Egypt have complained that their children are denied their right to education, because of the lack of residency permits, depriving them of their right to enroll in school and to take official examinations.
According to these families, the official bodies responsible for granting residency in Egypt are procrastinating and not permitting Palestinian- Syrians any residencies under various pretexts including the lack of security clearance to allow them to obtain residency. They added that the many problems due to the lack of access to residency in Egypt have prevailed, most importantly being subjected to legal accountability while on the move, in addition to depriving students of their right to attend school and apply for official examinations.
