Two people injured after 5 mortar shells hit Jaramana camp on Sunday

Two people from Jaramana camp for Palestinian refugees in the Damascus suburbs have been injured, after 5 mortar shells were dropped in the neighborhoods of “Abu Nori” and “Al-Tahrir.” The bombardment caused material destruction in the buildings and fear among the residents.

The camp’s residents said the source of these mortars was the armed Syrian opposition forces in the Damascus suburbs, where military operations and bombardments are taking place in the area.

Jaramana camp is considered safe to some extent, however the families and residents who have been displaced there suffer from extremely tough economic conditions, due to the widespread of unemployment, the high cost of living and the rise of rents.
