An Infant Died Due to Malnutrition and Lack of Medical Care because of the Yarmouk Camp Strict Siege.

More than 600 days of the strict siege imposed on the Yarmouk camp by the Syrian Regular Army and PFGC groups that besiege 20,000 civilians in the Yarmouk camp for Palestinian refugees in Damascus causing various health and living crises.

All hospitals and clinics stopped working except for Palestine hospital which provides simple medical services, the stop resulted in the acute shortage of medical staff and materials due to the siege, 683 days of power cut, and 173 days of water cut, in addition to the scarcity of fuel that is required to operate the generators.

In terms of living aspect, there are any main food supplies inside the camp; such as bread and rice and others, and in case small quantities is available by the greedy merchants, the one kilo of rice may reach 50$. It is also mentioned that the regime and the PF checkpoints prevent the entry of urgent relief aid that was produced by some international organizations between now and then, three months ago.

In light of this tragic reality, the number of victims' siege, that was documented by the AGPS, still increasing till yesterday to reach 171 victims, the last one was the 20-day-enfant "Mohammed Jameil Al Assar who died yesterday due to the lack of medical care and the malnutrition inside the besieged camp.
