Clashes broke out today between ISIS and the opposition factions on the battlefields between Yarmouk camp and Yelda town, south of Damascus.
According to our correspondent, a loud explosion was heard and turned out to be the bombing of a tunnel ISIS had dug up. It was discovered yesterday in the Japanese hospital’s sector in Yarmouk camp, and was destroyed after the bombing.
“Jaish Al-Ababeel,” one of the armed opposition factions, targeted the locations of ISIS at the axis of Daaboul Street in Al-Tadamon neighborhood, south of Damascus. According to the faction, 5 members and a fighter from ISIS were killed in the attack and it managed to regain control of a number of areas on the fighting axes with ISIS in south Damascus.
The area between Yarmouk camp and Yelda town is seeing occasional clashes as ISIS attempts to come forward at the expense of the opposition groups in Yelda. In the meantime, the armed opposition groups continue to close Al-Orouba crossing which passes between Yarmouk camp and Yelda, except in certain cases.
