Severe shortage of medical services in Deraa refugee camp amid continued water and electricity cuts

Hundreds of Palestinian families in Deraa camp are suffering from a severe shortage of medical services, where there is no medical point inside the camp, in addition to the continued closure of UNRWA's clinic in the camp for several years, under the pretext of the tense security situation, aggravating the suffering of the residents.

The residents were deprived of access to any medical services, including emergency services, as well as the basic check ups and other basic services.

In addition, the water cuts from the houses of the camp has reached 1308 consecutive days, in conjunction with a power outage, compounding the difficulties of securing water through artesian wells.

This comes in light of the security tension witnessed by the camp and its neighboring areas, due to ISIS’s attacks on the region and the intermittent bombardments by the regime forces using missiles and machineguns.
