Syrian security continues to detain 34 year-old, Palestinian refugee, “Magdy Hamdan Abdo,” after being arrested at Al-Gaweya barrier in Al-Mezzeh, Damascus on 14-01-2014. Since his arrest, no information has been provided about him. He is a sports teacher and resident of Khan Al-Sheih refugee camp in the suburbs of Damascus.
AGPS receives a number of messages and information about Syrian refugees and are
successively documented despite the difficulties in obtaining information about the fate,
names and locations of the detained as the Syrian regime continues to reserve such data. To this date, AGPS has recorded the detention of 1640 Palestinians in the Syrian prisons, including 103 women.
