250 Palestinian-Syrian families in sorrow because of the intense siege on Ghouta, Damascus

The suffering of 250 Palestinian-Syrian families continues in the eastern Ghouta region, due to the extremely terrible living conditions resulting from the tightened siege imposed by the Syrian regime on the Ghouta neighborhoods and it banning the entry of any food or medical aid to the area.

Based on the data received by AGPS, the families are distributed among the towns of Deraa, Zamalka, Hazeh and Hamouriyah, which are subjected to repeated bombardments, in addition to the towns’ extreme lack of food and medical supplies because of the siege. Relief and medical organizations have sent out several calls for help, especially after the widespread of malnutrition among dozens of children.

On their side, the residents renewed their demands through AGPS, to all of the international parties, UNRWA in particular, the official Palestinian parties, the Palestinian embassy in Damascus, PLO and the Arab and European relief organizations, to put a limit to their suffering and deliver their relief aid to them urgently.

The neighborhoods of Ghouta, Damascus, have been under siege since September 2013, however the regime has tightened the siege intensively over the past few days.
