In the suburbs of Damascus, UNRWA’s Commissioner-General, Pierre Krähenbühl, visited Khan Al-Sheih camp on Monday, to view the situation of the Palestinian refugees living in the camp, their suffering and their needs.
The visit included a meeting held by Krähenbühl with the Committee for Social Development in the camp, through which he reviewed the most important concerns and problems experienced by the residents of Khan Al-Sheih camp, regarding the infrastructure rehabilitation, the communication and electricity problems, the deportation of landfill and other difficulties that weigh heavily on the camp's residents after the return to stability.
On his part, UNRWA’s Commissioner-General, Pierre Krähenbühl, vowed to resolve those difficulties and to improve the living conditions of the camp’s residents.
