Syrian security continues to detain Palestinian “Maawya El-Fout” for the fourth year

The Syrian security continues to detain the 36 year old Palestinian “Maawya El-Fout,” for the fourth consecutive year. He was arrested by members of the regime’s security at the Sabinah-Kablat checkpoint in Damascus on 20-09-2013.

He was taken to a mysterious place, and contradicting news has been heard about him during the period of his detention. To this day, no news has been released about his fate or location. His family has called out to anyone who has information about their son or has seen him in the Syrian detention centers, to contact them.

AGPS receives a number of messages and information about the detained Palestinians. They are then documented despite the difficulty of recording information because the Syrian regime continues to hide the fate, names and locations of the detainees. The Group has recorded the detention of 1643 Palestinian refugees in the Syrian regime prisons, of which 105 are females.
