Extreme lack of medical services and water and electricity cuts in Deraa camp

Hundreds of Palestinian families from Deraa camp for Palestinian refugees in south Syria, are suffering from an extreme lack of medical services. There are no medical points inside the camp, as well as UNRWA’s closure of its clinic for several years, under the pretext of the tensioned security situation in the region, exacerbating the suffering of the people.

Thus, depriving the residents of access to any medical service, including ambulatory services and the basic medical services such as follow-ups.

The water has been cut from the camp’s houses for 1343 consecutive days, in conjunction with the electricity outage from the houses, compounding the difficulties of securing water through the artesian wells.

This comes in light of the security tension witnessed by the camp and surrounding neighborhoods, because of ISIS’s attacks on a number of the neighboring areas, and the intermittent shelling of the camp by the regime forces using mortars and machine weapons.
