In Dubai, the Palestinian bodybuilder, “Shady Ahmed,” participated in the Masl Show competition, which was held on the 9th of December in Dubai. The competition included professional bodybuilders from all over the world.
About the importance of participating in the competition, Shady Ahmed from Yarmouk camp his aim for participating, is to win the championship and raise the flag of Palestine in the sports events and international forums, and to prove to the world that the Palestinians in general, and the Palestinians of Syria in particular, no matter what calamities and tragedies come upon us, we can rise again and rebuild ourselves and our future.
Ahmed noted that despite not achieving an advanced position in this tournament, because of the lack of support from any Palestinian sports institution, his participation served as a catalyst for him and the beginning of the road to professionalism. He added that he is keen to continue his practicing, preparation and development of himself, in order to win the Masl Show competition, to compete against the world champions, with hope to obtain a card to qualify him to reach competitions at the world level.
