Palestinian-Syrian who broke the glass of Amsterdam’s restaurant, released

The Public Prosecution in the Netherlands, decided to release the Palestinian-Syrian man, “Saleh Al-Madbouh” the day before yesterday, who broke the glass of Amsterdam’s restaurant a few days ago. He is to be brought before the Court on 20-12, for suspicion of vandalism of public property.

He has been banned from being present within a semicircle with a diameter of 100 cm, from the restaurant's location for 90 days. According to the Police, the nature of the case and the absence of a criminal record for the man, the was no reason to keep him in prison.

The man’s lawyer, William van Fleet, previously said that: “What the young man did was a desperate act as a result of the deteriorating situation in Palestine.” He added that that the man does not hold hostile feelings towards the “semitic,” and that his action was targeting the Israeli government, not the Jews.
