In the south of Damascus, the children of the Jenin Scout Group, organized a solidarity stand at the group’s headquarters in the town of Yelda, in support of Jerusalem and in rejection of the American President, Donald Trump’s decision to officially recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the Israeli occupation, and transferring the US embassy to it.
The children held banners that wrote: “Jerusalem is ours - Jerusalem is Arab and defending it is a legitimate duty - Jerusalem is in our hearts,” to affirm and defend the right of the Palestinians to Jerusalem.
The residents of Yarmouk camp for Palestinian refugees who are in Yelda and the students and teaching staff of the Jarmac Alternative School, went out in a protest in response to Trump’s decision to transfer the US embassy to Jerusalem.
The protesters expressed their anger from the step and considered it a hostile step targeting the Palestinians’ rights, and touches the most important Palestinian constant, Jerusalem, the capital of Palestine.
