The Syrian regime continues to detain the two Palestinian refugees, whom the Action Group will keep their names secret. The mother and her daughter, from the Zyabeyeh area in the suburbs of Damascus, were arrested four years ago, after members of the Syrian regime forces at their “Moatamarat” checkpoint in the Husseiniyah area in Syria, detained them in June 2013.
On their part, the parents of the detained, called on the Action Group to keep their names secret, fearing the consequences on rest of the family members who are currently in Syria.
AGPS receives a number of messages and information about the detained Palestinians. They are then documented despite the difficulty of recording information because the Syrian regime continues to hide the fate, names and locations of the detainees. The Group has recorded the detention of 1644 Palestinian refugees in the Syrian regime prisons, of which 106 are females.
