The Palestinian refugees in Syria have been subjected to a systematic displacement campaign, amid the ongoing conflict in Syria, between the armed opposition and the Syrian regime, for the sixth year.
The studies’ department in the Action Group indicated that more than 150 thousand Palestinian refugees have fled outside of Syria, out of 650 thousand, while 430 thousand inside it are in need of total help.
The studies’ department also confirmed that 85 thousand Palestinian-Syrian refugees reached Europe until the end of 2016, while the number of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon is estimated at 31 thousand, 17 thousand are in Jordan, 6 thousand in Egypt, 8 thousand in Turkey and one thousand Palestinian-Syrians in Gaza.
Thousands of Palestinian refugees are waiting for a suitable opportunity to reach Europe, in escape of the ongoing war in Syria and to end their suffering of displacement in the neighboring countries to Syria. The Action Group has documented the death of 50 Palestinian-Syrian refugees, after drowning while trying to reach the European countries.
