In the south of Damascus, the Syrian regime forces are continuing to close the Babilla-Sidi Makdad checkpoint, leading to the total disappearance of the basic materials from the markets and the presence of weed only.
According to our reporter, the basic materials such as bread, flour and sugar, have disappeared from the markets in Babilla, Yelda and Beit Sahm in south Damascus, in addition to the increase of the prices of fuel, following the complete closure of the Babilla-Sidi Makdad checkpoint since 02-01-2018, by the Assad forces.
Sources in south Damascus stated that the regime forces temporarily opened the Babilla-Sidi Makdad checkpoint today, to allow the entry of the civilians stranded in the capital Damascus, who left the towns of Yelda, Babilla and Beit Sahm to the capital, and were unable to return after the checkpoint’s closure. The members of the regime also allowed the entry of one bag of bread per family.
