The Syrian regime has reopened the Babilla-Sidi Makdad checkpoint, yesterday, after closing it for a week. The regime allowed the passage of stock and civilians from both sides to move through the checkpoint, which links between the neighboring areas of Yarmouk camp controlled by the armed Syrian opposition, and the areas controlled by the regime in Damascus.
This comes amid the strict siege imposed by the Syrian regime’s army and the Palestinian factions affiliated to it, on Yarmouk camp for over 1636 days. More than 200 Palestinians have died because of the siege, due to the lack of food and medical care.
