ISIS launched an attack on a number of the armed opposition’s sites, in the Zein neighborhood, south of Yarmouk camp, yesterday. According to our correspondent, the attack began with ISIS detonating a car bomb, targeting the sites of Jaish Al-Islam in the Zein neighborhood. This was accompanied with bombardments using guided missiles.
Our reporter added the opposition forces tried to repel the attacks, using light and medium weapons, mortar shells and directed traps. The opposition fighters in Yelda managed to recover most of the sites which ISIS progressed to, after taking control of three buildings during the fighting.
Regarding the victims of the fighting, our correspondent noted that 2 members of Jaish Al-Islam died, and ISIS placed their bodies, beheaded, at the roundabout in Al-Hajar Al-Aswad, ISIS’s stronghold. Seven other members of the army were injured, in addition to a number of deaths and injuries among the ranks of ISIS.
