Residents of Al-Ramadan camp complain of poverty and expensive prices

The Palestinian refugees living in Ar-Ramadan camp in the suburbs of Damascus, are complaining of a real economic crisis, due to the manifestations of the conflict in Syria on them, leading to the widespread of unemployment among them, in addition to the extreme lack of food sources, medical supplies and fuel, amid expensive prices.

Ar-Ramadan camp is one of the Palestinian camps in Syria, located in the south-east of Damascus at a distance of 50 kilometers. Al-Dameer city is the closest to the camp, lying at a distance of 9 kilometers away from it.

The camp was established with UNRWA’s efforts in the ‘50s of the twentieth century; years after the Nakba. Living in the camp are a number of families from different cities and villages in Palestine; Tiberias, Hattin, Al-Shajara, Al-Ramla, Ajjur, Safed and Delta.
