Members of the Syrian security have closed the headquarters of the “Jafra Foundation for Relief and Youth Development,” in the Khan Al-Sheih camp in the suburbs of Damascus, suddenly and without revealing the real reasons behind the action.
This sudden closure comes after almost 4 years of Foundation’s work inside the camp. Jafra is most active in the field of relief and psychological support and provides cleaning and water distribution services in the area.
Russian and Syrian warplanes had targeted the Jafra Foundation's child protection center in Khan Al-Sheih camp, in July 2016, which led to its almost complete destruction.
“Jafra Foundation for Relief and Youth Development,” works to alleviate the human suffering in cases of emergencies and disasters and contributes to raising the standard of living in the Palestinian refugee camps in Syria.
