The Charitable Association for Palestinian Relief continues to reconstruct and rebuild the Muaz ibn Jabal Mosque in Sabinah camp. The Association’s workshops have ended the second stage of its work on the campaign it launched within its campaign to support the infrastructure and develop the camps in Syria.
According to a member of the Association, the workshops continued what they had finished in the first stage in the health facilities, electricity supplies, lighting, putting glass to the windows and reconstructing the damaged areas of the Mosque.
In 2013, Sabinah camp had witnessed violent clashes and strong bombardments by the Syrian regime forces, damaging more than 80% of its buildings partially or completely. The regime took control of the camp on 17-11-2013 and allowed part of its residents to return to it on 30-08-2017.
Sabinah camp is located in the town of Sabinah, 14 km away from Damascus. It was home to approximately 25000 Palestinian refugees, before the war in Syria.
