In coordination with the Kheir Umma Charity, the Palestinians in Syria Relief and Development Association launched its "Saqaya Al-Khair" campaign with the aim of delivering and distributing safe drinking water to the homes of civilians and displaced people in the town of Muzayrib, in the suburbs of Deraa, and its camp. This comes in order to alleviate their suffering caused by the drought of Al-Muzayrib Lake that fed the region with water, and to avoid the exploitation of the owners of the artesian wells, who control the prices and wages of water filling.
The Muzayrib region is home to almost 1700 Palestinian families, who are continuously subjected to bombardments by the Syrian regime forces, in conjunction with the intensified pace of military operations between the Syrian regime forces and the armed opposition factions, and the indiscriminate bombardments carried out by the Syrian regime, targeting civilians.
