ISIS detains a number of civilians in Yarmouk camp

AGPS’s correspondent in Yarmouk camp reported that ISIS arrested a number of civilians yesterday, living in the areas controlled by ‘Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham,’ after allowing 10 people to leave the camp for treatment and to buy their necessities.

Local sources in the camp confirmed that the reasons for the arrests have not been clarified, however it suggested that they are accused of cooperating with ‘Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham.’ ISIS had carried out a series of arrests a few days ago, of dozens of civilians that is accused of cooperating with ‘Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham,’ and of violating the laws imposed by ISIS in south Damascus.

The residents of Yarmouk camp are complaining from the violations and suppressive acts performed by ISIS towards them. They are also suffering of the continuous siege imposed by the Syrian regime on the camp and the catastrophic humanitarian conditions that almost three thousand Palestinians in Yarmouk camp are witnessing, in addition to more than 10 thousand displaced Palestinians from Yarmouk camp, to the areas of Yelda, Babilla and Beit Sahm.
