Syrian regime continues to detain Palestinian “Bakr Al-Kousy” since 2013

The Syrian regime continues to detain 33-year-old, Palestinian, “Bakr Al-Kousy” from Yarmouk camp, for the fifth consecutive year. He was arrested by members of the Syrian regime’s Hossaineyya checkpoint in the suburbs of Damascus on 12-08-2013 and taken to an unknown place. No information about his place of detention or fate have been revealed so far.

AGPS receives a number of messages and information about the detained Palestinians. They are then documented despite the difficulty of recording information because the Syrian regime continues to hide the fate, names and locations of the detainees. The Group has recorded the detention of 1644 Palestinian refugees in the Syrian regime prisons, including more than 105 women.
