The Palestinian-Syrian refugee "Maysaa Jihad Bakkar," born on 7/7/1978 went missing while leaving Libya on Tuesday 16/1/2018 on a death boat from the city of Zuwara towards Italy, in search of safety and security, after losing hope in Syria as a result of the ongoing war.
On their part, Maysa’s relatives appealed to all concerned parties, international organizations and the Libyan and Italian Coast Guards to search for their daughter who went missing with a number of refugees, including the Palestinian refugee Hana Bakkar, a Palestinian-Lebanese refugee born in 1977, and her 10-year-old daughter "Nares Abdel Raouf Abu Saado," on their journey from Libya to Italy. The family noted that they lost contact with their daughter on 16th of January and have not received any news or information about her since.
