The residents of Yarmouk and Deraa camps are suffering from the continuous water cuts from their homes, which has pushed them in the past to depend on water from the artesian wells, in order to secure water for drinking and use, regardless of its validity for use. Water from the wells has become the only available option for the residents of the camp.
On their part, experts confirmed to the Action Group that some of these wells, which the residents are dependent on, could cause kidney diseases, especially with the continuous use of it. The water contains a high percentage of sediments, and are not subject to any type of health treatment.
