Clashes in west Yarmouk camp and ISIS whips three men from the camp for smuggling cannabis

Fighting broke out between ISIS and Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham on the western Yarmouk axis, during which all types of light and medium weapons were used, without any injuries reported on both sides.

On his part, the Action Group’s correspondent said that there are approximately 2000 armed members of ISIS, while the number of Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham’s fighters are estimated at 170 armed men.

ISIS continues to be in control after the last clashes it launched on the sites of Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham on almost 70% of Yarmouk camp’s area. On the other hand, Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham (previously known as Al-Nusra Front) controls 5% of the camp’s area. The remaining area is under the control of the Palestinian factions affiliated to the Syrian regime.

In a similar context, ISIS in south Damascus issued a ruling to crucify and whip three Palestinian men from Yarmouk camp, for smuggling cannabis through the Orouba checkpoint, to Yarmouk camp.

Our correspondent added that the crucification will take place for 8 hours every day, for 10 days, at the checkpoint that lies in between the camp and Yelda, and that each man will be whipped 100 times every day, during the 10-day-period.

The Action Group received reports that ISIS intends to implement a ruling of hand-cutting, during the upcoming days, on members of ISIS who have been accused of theft, while members of the Hesba, affiliated to ISIS, launched a campaign against those who shave their beards, forcing them to grow it and trim their mustaches.

This comes amid ISIS’s practices, which the residents of the camp described as arbitrarily, and imposing its own agendas on the besieged people, as well as the ongoing siege imposed by the regime’s army and the General command, on the camp, in addition to the water and electricity cuts and the banning of the residents from returning to the camp.
