Palestinian-Syrian women, including former prisoners, participate in the "Convoy of Conscience" in Turkey

Palestinian women, including former detainees from the Syrian refugee camps, who were displaced with their families to Turkey, participated in the "Convoy of Conscience," which took off last Tuesday from the Turkish city Istanbul, and visited a number of Turkish cities, to stand in solidarity with the women that are illegally detained in the Syrian regime’s prisons and to reveal the suffering of 6500 girls and women that have been subjected to torture and abuse over the past seven years, and to demand freedom for 6736 female detainees in the Syrian prisons.

The convoy, organized by a group of civil society organizations in Turkey, arrived on Thursday to the border city with Syria, Antakya, where a press conference is set to be held, to demand the international community and human rights organizations to put pressure on the Syrian regime to release all the detainees in its prisons.
