More than 1500 besieged families in Yarmouk camp

More than 1500 Palestinian families in Yarmouk camp are witnessing a tight siege imposed by the Syrian regime forces and the Palestinian factions affiliated to it, in addition to its bombardment with mortar shells and missiles.

The residents of the neighboring towns to the camp (Yelda, Babilla and Beit Sahm), witnessed the closure of the last port for the residents of the camp , after being threatened with bombardments. On its part, the armed Syrian opposition groups in Yelda closed the Orouba checkpoint with dirt mounds completely yesterday, aggravating the suffering of the people especially regarding securing the treatment of the ill patients and food supplies.

In the meantime, Yarmouk camp witnessed a state of cautious calm, after days of violent bombardments which targeted the camp, Al-Hajar Al-Aswad and Al-Qadam neighborhoods, where a Palestinian boy was killed and many civilians injured.

Media sources close to the regime stated that its forces is violently bombarding the sites and centerpoints of ISIS in Al-Hajar Al-Aswad, south of the capital, using missiles.

In another context, websites close to ISIS published pictures of 10 dead members of the Syrian regime forces. Their bodies were pulled during the violent confrontations which broke out in the Qadam neighborhood, in addition to the destruction of a tank and a BMB vehicle, which ISIS claimed to have targeted, and ammunition and machine guns seized by its members.
