Palestinian-Syrian teachers wins “Best Teacher in North Lebanon” Award

In Lebanon, Palestinian-Syrian teacher, “Abd El-Kirim Ibrahim Mohammed Khatib,” who was displaced from Yarmouk camp to the Nahr bared camp, won the first prize award issued by Ramallah, as the best, specialized teacher in north Lebanon for the year 2017, for his use of innovative and effective educational practices, and by improving the students' grades and behavior, and helping them to excel and surpass.

Al-Khatib, who currently teaches in UNRWA's Menara Boys School in the Nahr Bared camp in Tripoli, North Lebanon, is a bachelor's degree holder in Arabic and English from Damascus University and was a teacher at UNRWA's Tabgha school in Yarmouk camp.

UNRWA cooperated with the International Welfare Association - Taawon, announced on 28th of March on its 8 prizes for 2017, in an honorary ceremony held in Al-Bireh and via video conference with Gaza and Beirut. The awards were given to a number of distinguished civil institutions and leading inpiduals, and in the presence of a large number of official figures and civil institutions, in addition to those with expertise and specialists in the fields of development.
