The Syrian security services continue to detain, 24-year-old Palestinian refugee, “Obaida Alyan” and hide their fate, following his arrest at one of the Syrian regime’s checkpoints in the Zahera area in Damascus, on 31-03-2014.
Alyan lived during the siege of the Syrian army on Yarmouk camp, south of the capital, and he is a member of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine.
AGPS receives a number of messages and information about the detained Palestinians. They are then documented despite the difficulty of recording information because the Syrian regime continues to hide the fate, names and locations of the detainees. The Group has recorded the detention of 1673 Palestinian refugees in the Syrian regime prisons.
