3 boats carrying illegal immigrants arrived in the Greek islands; two boats to the island of Lesvos and a boat to Chios. A total of 93 immigrants arrived in the country.
While the Turkish Coast Guard intercepted five boats carrying 250 refugees, bound for the Greek islands; Lesbos, Samos, Chios and Mytilini, and they were perted back to Turkey, despite the testimonies of eye witnesses who confirmed that the boats were near to the regional waters.
Refugees in the Greek islands confirmed that among the arrivals, were Palestinians who had fled the woes of the war in Syria.
Unofficial statistics indicate that the number of Palestinian-Syrians in Greece is about 400 until the end of 2016, who are waiting for an unknown fate.
