The Palestinian emergency committee in south Damascus warns of a catastrophic fate of civilians, if Yarmouk camp is bombarded

The Palestinian emergency committee in south Damascus warned of a catastrophic fate of civilians, if Yarmouk camp is bombarded, as a result of the military escalation between the regime and ISIS.

According to our correspondent, members of the Committee discussed during a meeting held yesterday, the committee’s accomplishments through the internal communication, and the attempt to open channels of communication with foreign policy holders and to direct letters to the Palestine Liberation Organization, to take on its responsibility towards the residents of Yarmouk camp, and try try securing a safe corridor for the people, in case all sides of the conflict decide to perform a military operation on the camp.

The committee was formed of Palestinian figures and representatives of the Palestinian organizations and bodies, to follow up on the latest developments regarding the Palestinian refugees in Yarmouk camp and the neighboring towns of south Damascus; Yelda, Babilla and Beit Sahm.
