The family of the child "Omar Al Taweil" and activists in the Yarmouk refugee camp appealed to allow the exit of the child "Omar" from the camp to receive treatment in the hospitals of the capital Damascus. The appeal came as a result of the weakness of potentials, medicines, and specialist staff inside the besieged camp. The 11-month-childis suffering from Sickle cell anemia and spleen hypertrophy, as the medical staff in Palestine Hospital is unable to transfer blood units for him in order to avoid additional damage to the spleen that may cause his death.
It is noteworthy that Palestine Hospital is the only hospital that covers the needs of more than 20,000 besieged people on the medical level, despite the simple and modest potentials, because the Syrian army and the General Command continued to siege the Yarmouk camp for (617) days respectively, power cut for more than (697) days, and water for 187 days respectively.
