In south Syria, Deraa camp for Palestinian refugees was bombarded with a number of mortar shells and ground shots by the Syrian regime, which targeted different areas in the camp, causing material damage. This came in conjunction with fighting described as violent, between the Syrian regime forces and the armed Syrian opposition factions, in which medium and heavy weapons were used.
On his part, the Action Group’s reporter confirmed that Deraa camp is violently bombarded on a daily basis, with explosive missiles and rocket-propelled grenades launched by the Syrian regime, which has damaged about 80% of its neighborhoods and buildings.
He noted that the remaining residents of the camp are suffering from the lack of basic services and relief aid, as a result of the siege imposed by the Syrian regime on the camp.
