The second convoy of displaced persons from the south of Damascus left for the Syrian north yesterday afternoon. 11 buses carried a total of 618 people; 240 men, 254 women and 124 children.
Activists in south Damascus said that at least 50 buses were supposed to enter yesterday, however, the regime's forces argued that there were insufficient buses.
This comes within the framework of the settlement agreement concluded between the Syrian regime and the Syrian opposition forces, which provides for the complete exit of the militants from the towns of south Damascus to northern Syria, after handing over their weapons and equipment.
The first batch of displaced people had left the day before yesterday, including a number of Palestinian refugees who decided to flee to the north, for lack of guarantees for their endurance in the south of Damascus.
According to our correspondent, about two thousand Palestinian refugees registered their names on the lists of displaced people from south Damascus to the Syrian north.
