Al Sayeda Zainab residents complain of difficult economic and living crises such as the high prices, the shortage of food supplies and fuel, the weakness of the potentials and financial resources, and the spread of unemployment, forcing some of them to leave the camp and travel outside of Syria, or work within the pro-Syrian army Civil Committees.
In field, the camp, which receives a number of displaced families from other camps such as Yarmouk and Husseneia camps, is witnessing state of relative calm, according to an eyewitness, the events of the war in Syria destroyed a large part of the camp's houses. Moreover, many of its residents died and they are estimated with 100 victims and 200 wounded, according to some reports, while the AGPS documentation team documented the names of 42 victims died from Sayeda Zeinab camp since the beginning of the war in Syria, as well as the AGPS also documented the names of 32 prisoners at the Syrian security services.
