A Palestinian family displaced from Yarmouk camp for Palestinian refugees in Damascus, to the town of Azaz in the Syrian north, gave birth to twins on the day of their family’s displacement. This comes in the face of extremely harsh living conditions lived by the family and hundreds of Palestinian refugees who were displaced to the Syrian north.
The Palestinian refugees in the north of Syria do not receive any assistance from UNRWA, due to its absence from all areas controlled by the Syrian opposition. In addition, the PLO and relief institutions have ignored the repeated appeals of Palestinian refugees in the north of Syria, in which they demand that the PLO and UNRWA implement their duties towards them.
